From the moment Ashley was
born she was hitting a lot of high notes. This energy had to have direction.
At age four she participated in her first dance class.
At the age of seven she began competing in group numbers and soon as
a soloist. She couldn't get enough of dance and clearly loved performing
on stage. Formal ballet training followed, five days a week.
Two years later, at thirteen an injury ended her ballerina dreams but
not before performances in the Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf and Dracula.
In middle and high school she enjoyed being part of choir shows, musicals
and local theater. Her performances include A Christmas Carol, Steel Magnolias,
Diary of Anne Frank, Cinderella and The Children of Eden.
At age 20 she auditioned in New York City for "Barbie Live in Fairytopia"
and was offered Barbie understudy performing on Sundays. Off she went
on a six month tour and loved every minute, except for traveling by bus
as she suffers from motion sickness.
Just as the tour was ending a newspaper article announced the upcoming
"Grease" auditions. Ashley moved to New York City and while
working as a waitress began to audition for broadway shows. She unfortunately
missed the "Grease" audition. Through the encouragement of a
friend she made the "Grease" audition in LA and is now competing
for the role of Sandy. |
